Coordinating gym time, smarter — built for Louisiana Tech students, by Louisiana Tech students
Lambright Sports & Wellness Center is one of the best resources on campus — free for every enrolled student, packed with courts, pools, a climbing wall, and more. But coordinating how to actually use it? That's a mess of emails, group chats, and showing up and hoping for the best.
This is a communication problem, not a facilities problem. The space exists. The students want to use it. What's missing is the system that connects them.
Teams trying to reserve the gym face back-and-forth email chains with staff. Students looking for a pickup game post in group chats and hope someone sees it. There's no central place to see what's open, what's busy, or who else is going.
Watch how two Louisiana Tech students go from frustrated to fully coordinated — using Dawg Park at Lambright. Click through each moment.
This isn't a mockup — it's a working clickable prototype of every feature in Dawg Park. Tap through the app on the right to explore.
Currently every student hands their physical ID to an attendant who swipes it. Dawg Park replaces that with a secure, rotating QR code — the same system used by Planet Fitness, university gyms nationwide, and most modern rec centers.
We're not asking for much. With $5,000, a student team, and a real problem to solve — we can deliver something that improves daily life for every student who walks into Lambright.
